Mixed housing options are provided by the Oasis Supported Housing Community Interest Company, a not-for-profit organisation operating under housing regulations.
If housing is offered, it is provided under short-hold tenancy agreements with the Oasis Supported Housing CIC as the Landlord and you as the tenant. This agreement gives you security of tenure and sets out the rights and responsibilities of both parties under the agreement. In exceptional circumstances we may offer an accommodation licence which gives you less security of tenure.
To be eligible for Oasis Housing you will be in receipt of elements of PIP (or an equivalent benefit) which qualify you for exempt Housing Benefits or be in a position to self-finance the accommodation at the exempt benefit rate.
The housing is for adults (18+) who are on the pathway to self-determination and independence. For this reason our tenancies are mostly taken up by younger adults.
Tenants will have one or more of the following needs or conditions:
· autism;
· a learning disability;
· comorbid health conditions; and/or,
· social emotional and behavioural needs;
· Issues of mental capacity.
These needs and disorders may give rise to one or more of the following:
· difficulty in accessing suitable housing;
· communication difficulty;
· isolation;
· challenging behaviours; and,
· social, emotional and behavioural needs
In accepting a tenancy, a tenant agrees that core support will be delivered by Oasis Supported Living Ltd. working in partnership with the Oasis Supported Housing C.I.C. under tenant centred service level agreements. Tenants have the option of having 1-1 support delivered by an alternative support provider
